With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Stuart Norton Francis who left our world on December 18, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family after a long and courageous fight with Whipple surgery and multiple complications. Stuart was born on 3/16/1943 in Annapolis Maryland to Geraldine (Tyler) Francis and Dr. Norton Lewis Francis who were waiting for him in heaven.
He grew up in Wichita Kansas, graduated from Wichita State with a Bachelor’s of Science and got his Master’s in International Business, from the Wharton School of Business.
For 44 beautiful years, Stuart was the devoted and loving husband of Debbie (Crum) Francis who met in Dallas at an IBM educational class where Stuart was her instructor. Their marriage was a testament to commitment, partnership, and enduring love. He was the very proud and devoted father to his three children, Ashley (Carlos) Feliciano of Oklahoma City; Tracee (Chris) Keough of Mason Ohio and Kylan (Jenna) Francis of Lake Balboa California, guiding them with wisdom, patience, and a steady presence they will carry with them always…. As he always reminded them “Nothing Stupid!”
Nothing brought Stuart greater joy than being Papa to his cherished grandchildren: Ella and OliviaFeliciano; Abbie (Datrell) Feliciano Poindexter; Colin, Camden, Audree and Harper Keough; Everett and Witten Francis. He delighted in their laughter, milestones, and everyday moments. To them, Papa was a source of unconditional love, encouragement, and gentle guidance—a legacy that will live on through each of them. He is survived by his brother Doug and two sisters Janet and Susan, all in New Mexico, and their many extended family members as well as so many friends who were blessed to know him.
Stuart will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic after a 30 year career with IBM and the quiet ways he showed his love—always putting family first. “Yoda” as he was affectionately called, leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, lessons, and love as well as his beloved 1956 T-Bird. Though deeply missed, Stuart’s love and influence will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched in a life well lived. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
