Terry James Bemmes

Terry James Bemmes, a beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 2, 1958, Terry led a life marked by warmth, kindness, and unselfishness.

Terry was a proud graduate of Lakota High School, class of 1976. His professional journey included valuable contributions to Continental Can and Tyson Foods, where he gained the respect and affection of colleagues through his diligent work ethic.

A true handyman at heart, Terry possessed remarkable skills as a carpenter, earning a reputation for being able to fix just about anything. His easy-going personality made him liked by everyone he met. Many will fondly remember his enthusiasm and joy in spending time at his cherished lake home, a retreat that brought him immense happiness.

Terry’s family meant the world to him. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Jennifer Winkler, who was the love of his life. He leaves behind his siblings Mark Bemmes (Kim) and Marsha Hoctor (Bill), whose lives were enriched by his presence. Terry cherished his role as an uncle to his nieces and nephews—Kayla Mullins (Eli), Kelly Himmler (Alex), Kristy Bemmes (CJ Leary), Ryan Hoctor (Brianna), Abigail Petrey (Jacob), John Hoctor, and Grace Hoctor. Each of them carry memories that will stay with them forever.

Terry's departure is felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Frank and Charlene Bemmes, and his sister, Rebecca Bemmes. Memories of Terry will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
