Terry D. Ward Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Terry D Ward Sr, Virginia M Ward, and William G Leininger. Loving son of Shirley A Leininger (nee Caskey). 

Terry was a dear brother of Debbie A (Joe) Ward, Tina M Ward (Billy), and Veronica N (Paul) Combs. He was a beloved uncle to Rebecca, Sara, Tianna, Joseph, Somer and Lukas, and great-uncle to McKenzee, Landen, Eli, John, Wyatt, Everett and Elliott.

Terry had a wonderful sense of humor and had a special gift for making the people around him laugh. He enjoyed action and science-fiction films. He was an incredibly talented artist. Most of all, Terry cherished his family and friends and treasured the long conversations with his mother and the time he spent with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Terry was a one-of-a-kind, genuine, caring and compassionate person who lived his life in service of others. His kindness, humor, creativity and love for those around him touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Terry passed away September 26, 2026 at the age of 60. A visitation will be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine st., Carthage, Friday October 2nd from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM Interment will follow immediately at Spring Grove Cemetery.
