Thelma Braden

Thelma Christine Braden (nee Todd) a devoted Christian and selfless soul, passed away Friday February 13, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born and raised in Ky to Austin and Ada Todd, until she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio when she was just 17 years old, where she met and married Joe Braden in 1963. They were married for 54 years until his passing in 2017. She is survived by 3 of her children, Greg (Rhonda) Braden, Karen (Jeff) Cash, Steve Braden, and an ex daughter-in-law, Amy Braden. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Robert Braden in 2021. She was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed sharing laughter and humor and warmth with her grandchildren, Andy, Kyle, Jessica (Zac), Kati and Emily. She was very close and spoke daily to her siblings Clinton, Ethel, Bonnie (Ken) and Arbie (Debbie). She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, William and Hershel.

She had many different job roles over the years and created some lasting friendships there as well as with her neighbors whom she loved and took so much comfort in. Her faith guided her actions and inspired those around her. She found happiness in simple pleasures, reading the bible, spending time with family, tending to her yard and garden, and playing games on her tablet. She was a great cook and known as the family pie maker as they were always the favorite on any occasion. She was the heart of her family, the one everyone could turn to for comfort and support. Her unwavering loyalty and compassion were constants in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30, at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd (Rt 42), West Chester OH 45069. Burial services immediately following in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Cincinnati OH.
