Theodore Rottinghaus

ROTTINGHAUS Theodore, beloved husband of the late Iris Rottinghaus (nee Reed) for 57 years. Loving brother of Emma (Harry) Linnemann. Dear uncle of Dorothy (Donald) Zurich, Rose (Bobby) Foster, and Shirley Harter. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed many good friends and neighbors. Passed away Monday, August 15, 2011. Age 95. Visitation at the Cedars of Lebanon Chapel, Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., 45232, Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Theodore was involved in the following battles and campaigns of WWII: GO 33 and 34, D45 Normandy, North France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He also received the following decorations and citations: Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Third Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, and a Victory Medal.
