With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the life he lived, we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” Russell Farmer, who peacefully went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2026 at the age of 86.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Tom was known for his unwavering loyalty, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. He married the love of his life, Patricia (Cox) Farmer, and they shared 63 beautiful years of marriage together.
Family was the center of Tom’s life. He was a devoted father to Sheri (Monte) Singleton, Scott (Julie) Farmer, and Kelly (Matt) Suter. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 11, with one more on the way. His legacy lives on through the generations he loved so dearly.
Tom proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and went on to build a 45-year career with Jim Beam, a career marked by service, dedication, and loyalty. Tom enjoyed golfing and serving his local church, but nothing brought him more joy than the time he spent with his family.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. They rejoice in the promise that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Viola Farmer, and his sister, Edna Watson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his sister, Ginger Popowell; his children and their spouses; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends who were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Serenity Baptist Church in West Chester from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Blue Ash. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the STG Foundation
