Tilda S. Gibson, affectionately known as Sue, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born Tilda Spradlin on December 31, 1945, in McCreary County, Kentucky, Sue lived a life marked by unwavering faith, boundless love, and a steadfast commitment to family and community.

Sue was a faithful Christian whose generous spirit and open heart made her a beacon of kindness to all who knew her. Whether through acts of service or simple gestures of support, she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying the true meaning of compassion. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, cherished deeply and nurtured with a mother's and grandmother's unconditional love.

Known for her warm and welcoming personality, Sue never met a stranger. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enriched the lives of those around her with her genuine warmth and inclusive nature. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to many, and her memory will endure in the hearts of all who were lucky to know her.

Sue is survived by her devoted daughters, Kimberly Mason and Tracey Mason, along with Tracey's husband, Brandon. She treasured her grandchildren, Brandon Jeffries (and his wife Maggie) and Kira Warner, and was a proud great-grandmother to Sadie, Ellie, and Kingston. Her loving family also includes her dear sisters Phyllis and Christie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hobert Carl, her mother Mattie, siblings Bob, Jocie, Lester Ray, and Dottie, as well as a nephew who also passed before her.

A visitation to honor the life of Sue will be held on June 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Carthage Baptist Church, located at 1191 W Seymour Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio. The funeral service will follow, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and concluding at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.

Sue’s journey was one of faith, love, and selfless generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her family and community that will continue to inspire all who were blessed by her presence. Those who knew Sue will remember her as a loving soul who embraced life with grace and compassion, and who forever held her loved ones close to her heart.
