Tommy Lee Moore

May 9, 1947 — Sep 15, 2026

Liberty Twp.

Tommy Lee "Tom" Moore, 79, passed away on September 15, 2026. Born on May 9, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio, Tom graduated from New Miami High School in 1965, where he enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. His love of sports continued well beyond high school, and he played for the local Armco Triangles for many years and was inducted into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame.

Tom spent his forty-year career working at Armco Steel until his retirement. In retirement, he enjoyed the simple things that made him happiest—playing a round of golf, working in his yard, and, most of all, spending time with his wife, Kathy. He also remained involved in the sports he loved, refereeing high school football and umpiring baseball.

Above all, Tom loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a great dad, and a wonderful grandfather. His family meant everything to him, and the time he spent with those he loved was what mattered most.

Tom will be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He always had a joke to tell and enjoyed sharing a laugh with the people around him. His humor, personality, and presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Cook; his brother, Larry Moore; and his granddaughter, Hannah Moore.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn "Kathy" Moore; his children, Kevin Moore (Emilie), Doug Moore (Luisa), Kelly Crawford (Sean), and Lori Beckwith; and daughter-in-law Suzanne Halstead and son-in-law Michael Halstead.

He is also survived by his sisters, Wanda Petlock, Carole Muench, and Karen Tipton; his grandchildren, Brittany Cannon, Brian Moore, Ryan Crawford, Chelsea Bennett, Andrew Bruns, Mackenzie Bruns, Titus Moore, Brayden Moore, Ryan Moore, Sami Moore, Morgan Halstead, and Gavin Halstead; as well as several great-grandchildren.

Tom leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and a lifetime of memories, laughter, and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come. His greatest legacy is the family he loved so well.

Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery in St. Clair Twp., OH.
