William "Bill" Hargis

William “Bill” J. Hargis, beloved Husband of Lucille Hargis for 71 years. Loving father of Gary Hargis and the late Mike Hargis, father-in-law to Geselle and Debi Hargis, grandfather of Tysha (Jake) Taulbee, Allison Hargis, Jessica Hargis, and Jacob Hargis, great-grandfather of Kara Taulbee, Jacob Taulbee, and Maryann, brother of Onva (Linda) Hargis and an abundance of family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Nellie Hargis and two sisters and two brothers.

Bill loved fishing and hosting some incredible fish fries. He enjoyed watching UK basketball, but most importantly loved spending time with his family.

Bill retired from Continental Can in Sharonville OH and enjoyed traveling all over the US with Lucille. Bill was proud that he spent more time in retirement than he spent working.

Bill passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 88. A visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH 45069, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM. A burial will take place immediately following the service at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Hospice of Cincinnati.
