William Cory Kafiti

July 20, 1982 — January 20, 2026

Cincinnati

William Cory Kafiti, lovingly known as “Bill,” was a devoted and beloved husband to Lindsay Maureen Kafiti (née Trotta) for 10 years. He was a loving and proud father to Lucas and Mila Kafiti. Bill was a dear uncle to Mary, Emma, and William Carvaines, and a lifelong friend and cherished brother to Dawn Carvaines (née Kafiti).

He was a much-loved brother-in-law to Nick Carvaines and Nick Trotta. Bill was the treasured son of George and Marietta Kafiti (née Whitfield) and a beloved son-in-law to Kim Trotta (née Reenan).

Bill graduated salutatorian from Midpark High School in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2000. He went on to attend the University of Dayton, where he earned his degree in Chemical Engineering, graduating summa cum laude. He later obtained his Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Xavier University, also graduating summa cum laude.

Throughout his professional career, Bill worked for Rohm and Haas, Dow Chemical Company, and Emery Oleochemicals, where he was known for his dedication, intelligence, and integrity.

Bill had a deep love for music, stand-up comedy, and karaoke. His and Lindsay’s go-to song was “Wonderwall” by Oasis. He loved all sports, especially football, and was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. Bill played baseball and football throughout his school years and had a special passion for baseball umpiring. He proudly umpired middle school, high school, and club baseball teams throughout Cincinnati and had recently begun umpiring college club teams.

Above all else, Bill valued his relationships with family and friends. His greatest joy in life was his family, whom he loved unconditionally and guided with patience, kindness, and unwavering devotion.

Bill will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, generosity, and steady presence. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for close friends and family.
