William Junior Long

William Junior Long, age 77, died at home in the afternoon of July 7 after enduring 6 months of multiple forms on cancer.  He was born in Casey County , KY to Willie Virgil and Ebbie Long.  The family migrated to Cincinnati in the mid 1950’s.  He retired from Central Steel & Wire in 2005 after 40 years of service.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Eddie, Marshall, Geraldine Grant, Jessie (Jean), Violet (Bill) Adams, Vadis, Vitis, Kathleen Campbell and David Long.  He is survived by his sister, Marcella Clements, his wife Mary Jane, his children, Teri (Steve) Keifer, Sherry, Bill (Nancy) Long, step-son Victor (Terri) Wuerstl and grandchildren Kristen Davis, Allison (Patrick) Palmer, Danielle (Ben) Haggard, Tyler (Brittany Hoersting) Keifer, Aaron (Sandy Schafer) Long, Jessica (Don Harrison) Knueven, Scott (Amber Eldridge) Knueven, Trisha (Joe Young) Long and Tiffany (Ryan) Van Zant, Jessica and Nickolas Wuerstl and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Friendship Baptist Church 8580 Cheviot Rd. Cincinnati OH 45253 on Tuesday July 13 from 10 until service at 11:30.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597 Cincinnati OH 45263 or online at www.hospice ofcincinnati.org/memorials.
