William H Thie
Born December 23,1946-passed away July 20, 2026.
Beloved husband of Pamela Thie (nee Niemeier) of 54 years. Loving father of Nick Thie and Natasha Thie (Tim Gotham). Adored and cherished Papa of his four grandchildren Jace Gotham, Chloe Gotham, Mia Gotham, and Luna Gotham.
Best big brother of Debbie (Stanley) Boehmer and Beverly Thie. Uncle to Rich (Kathy) Boehmer and Amanda Boehmer. Bill was an awesome Great Uncle to his great nieces and nephew, cousin to many, and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Celeste (Sis) Thie. He was always jokingly referred to as the "favorite" child and is reunited in Heaven with them.
Bill joined the Navy at 18 years old and proudly served from 1964-1967 before joining the workforce. He worked as a plumber, worked for Shillitos/Lazarus/Macy's for 30 years. He volunteered at the Fisher House of Cincinnati, then proudly worked for the VA Hospital for 10 years before retirement.
Bill was a hard worker, dependable and always there when you needed him. Outside of work and after retirement he was a fun loving guy. He loved music, playing golf, and watching sports. He was genuine, a man of his word. He made friends easily and maintained those friendships throughout his life. He was most proud of his family, namely his grandkids. The bond he shared with each of them was remarkable and amazing to witness.
Bill was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
