Beloved husband of Jane Crum Bare for 34 years.
Loving father of Danielle (Chris) Strotman, Steven (Kristen Shortell) Bare, Catherine (Kevin) Diehl, Jonathan, Jacob, Matthew, and Christina Bare. Devoted grandfather of 5 grandchildren. He was survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous close relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Patricia and Charles Bare, his unborn children, Gabriel and Michaela Bare, and 2 unborn grandchildren.
Andrew lived his life with great passion. Following high school, Andrew proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, married Jane, and then completed his BS in Computer Information Systems. After working for Northern Telecom in Research Triangle Park, NC for a few years, the family moved to Liberty Township, OH where Andrew enjoyed his unique role as a full-time stay-at-home dad and homeschooling parent. For the last 20+ years he has also enjoyed working on the Bare Family Farm raising goats, cattle, sheep, donkeys, and chickens. He loved serving people through his work in IT at MTCES, Royalmont, and Mercy Health. He thrived in his social involvement in numerous communities, including Boy Scouts, 4H, Knights of Columbus, Engaged and Marriage Encounters, MND/Moeller Bands, and St. Max parish. Most of all Andrew was passionate in his intense love for his family and friends, always willing to go out of his way to care for the needs of others.
After over 3 years battling a brain tumor, Andrew went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was surrounded by family and close friends in his final hours.
Visitations will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, Liberty Twp., OH 45044, on Friday, August 12th from 2 until 5 PM as well as at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45011, on Saturday, August 13th from 10 AM until 10:45 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249 immediately following Mass.
A luncheon will follow the burial at Royalmont Academy, 200 Northcrest Dr, Mason, OH 45040.
