Barbara Nell Stephen Minchew
October 30, 1929 — July 21, 2022
Barbara Stephen Minchew, age 92 of Sharonville, Ohio, passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved her on Thursday July 21, 2022 at her home after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband Val Minchew, Jr., her parents Ralph and Esta Oree Stephen, and her brothers, Ralph and Daniel Stephen.
She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 30, 1929 to Ralph C. Stephens, Sr. and Esta Oree Stephens. She moved to Cincinnati in 1968 with her husband, Val and four children, where she volunteered her time with the Shriner’s Burn Institute and at Sharonville School District Extended Day.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her four children, Cindy (Larry) Purnell, Connie (Joe) DeMoranville, Chris Minchew and Carol (Tom) Holliday, and four grandchildren, Angie (Tony) Tumbleson, Shannon Minchew Thomas, Stephanie Minchew and Joe Holliday, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many loving friends and extended family.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 noon. Graveside services to follow for family members only.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mt. Healthy Christian Village for all their loving care, friendship and support for Barbara and her family.
