Beloved husband of Irene Smith (nee Combs) for 60 years. Loving father of Jeff (Brenda) Smith and Paula (Bob) Mefford. Dear grandfather of Zack (Andrea), Carly, Brooke, Lexi, and Harper. Dear great grandfather of Jackson, Nora, and Jasper. Brother of Betty, Gene, and Janice. Predeceased by parents, Leona and Gene Smith. Bill was a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite, Eastern Stars, and a 32 Degree Mason. He enjoyed horses, riding his Harley, and taking his trucks to car shows. He was a truck driver for 25 years. Bill was a proud Veteran of the Army with active service from 1957-1967. The most important treasure of Bill was his family. Bill passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020. Services will be held privately through Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044. Burial will be held at Mound Cemetery in Monroe, OH. Donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Honor Flight Dayton, 200 Canary Ct., Enon, OH 45323.
