My deepest condolences and sympathy for Billie Joe's wife, daughter, family, and friends. I worked with Bill at Union Central. He was a man of God, always prayed before eating lunch. He was very passionate about his work. I remember talking with him in the past about Hannah, and her accomplishments. I am so sorry for you, Hannah, to lose your Dad. Sad news. God bless you all.

I knew Bill from work and though we weren't in the same department; I always found him to be so open and welcoming when I first started. He would always wish me well in my career and offer helpful tips. He was a good human being and had a genuine spirit of caring for others. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.
We are so sorry to hear that Billy is gone. It is so hard to believe he is no longer here. He and I were pals growing up when I came to Tennessee from Ohio for family vacations. We were friends, companions, cousins just hanging out and occasionally getting in trouble at Grandpa Dalton's. I treasured those family vacations spending time with you. It is a shame we had to grow up. You were such a good person being Dad, Mom, provider, cook, maid, maintenance and so much more!! You were a kind generous soul. You will be missed by all. We will cherish the memories of you and pray for all of your family!! Love you!!!!! Melissa, Rick, Ryan & Robbie Delagrange Larry & Sandy Rose

I have had the pleasure of working with Bill for many years. Every time I was in the Ohio office, he would want to meet up and chat. Bill was so passionate about his work, and I respected that. His legacy will live on at Anthem through our continued efforts to drive with as much passion as Bill had. My heart goes out to Yvonne and Hannah, who he spoke so deeply about. Thoughts and prayers are with Bill's entire family. Bill, rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed.

Bill had an exceptionally positive character, his enthusiasm to help others was infectious. Every time we interacted he had something unique to talk about how his kindness brought a smile on someone’s face. He had extreme faith in God and often shared texts filled with prayers with me. He taught me to never give up when things go worse and how to be more compassionate towards others, and at the same time be an awesome strong /funny parent. Bill, you made a positive mark in so many lives and I will dearly miss you . May your divine soul rest in peace!
Amber Mihal - May 7, 2020
Bill loved and lived tirelessly. I'm devastated to hear about his passing. I don't know when it's going to hit that he's not just a text away anymore. I'll treasure all the moments we did have together, the big days just as much as the small. His endless optimism and passion are something I'll always strive to remember and incorporate into my own life. He'll be missed by many, myself included.

My heart hurts for Hannah and Yvonne. Bill was a devoted family man and an incredibly warm and welcoming person. I am glad I had the honor of meeting him last year.
Jann Thomas - May 7, 2020
Bill was an amazing person and a great friend. He was a great listener. He and I worked on a paper for a conference after I left Anthem. Bill would take time to talk about data trends and Agile theory. He shared my joys and struggles and allowed me to share some of his. I will miss his analytical thinking and joy in finding answers in numbers. My heart goes out to all his family especially Hannah and Yvonne.
Aisling O'Neill - May 6, 2020
Bill was more than just a work colleague to many of us, he was a friend who shared his life experiences with us so we could all learn from them. There is no greater gift. He was so passionate about both is work and personal life and it was infectious. Having known him has made me a better person. Rest easy Bill, you have left us a legacy that we will carry forward .. caring deeply for those around us, remembering who and what is important and always, always bringing a smile to those we interact with every day. Watch over us Billy Joe because we will miss you buddy!

Bill was a thoughtful and caring person. Years back, I worked with him through our local PMI chapter and he was a go-getter and very engaged. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
Nick Kannady - May 6, 2020
Bill was the nicest guy I have ever met let alone worked with. He was patient, kind, devoted and one hell of a worker. Him and I became friends through our mutual need for order in the middle of corporate chaos. Bill like to say he was a 'numbers guy'. I will always remember him as a friend and great human being. I will miss you Bill and Anthem will not be the same without you here.
Eric Roberts - May 6, 2020
Billy was my friend at Anthem. No, he was more like a brother to me then just a friend from work. We met several times a month to chat about work, but over the years, we discussed everything from where he grew up (sent emailed Google map pictures); the struggles for Hannah and many, many other things. I am devastated at his passing and truly grieve with and for you. I will miss my friend and our conversations. You all are in my thoughts.
Eric - May 6, 2020
I am a co-worker. I had intermittent interaction with him over the past 2 years. In our brief time he provided sage advice, historical work knowledge a warm smile through the call. I did not need to read the other comments to know that Bill was a good person and would be enjoyable to have in my off-work life as a friend. After reading the other comments, I am sad that I did not take the time to get to know him better.
Brenda Lindenmeyer - May 6, 2020
My deepest condolences on your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sheryl - May 6, 2020
Bill was one of the first people I met when I joined Anthem 10 years ago. He was a trusted peer and an exceptional person. We worked together, laughed together, cried a few times and prayed together. He will sorely be missed. My heart goes out to his loving family. Although I never met his wife or daughter Hannah, I heard about them through the eyes of their loving husband and father. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Alex Dvorkin - May 6, 2020
I had the honor of working closely with Bill over the past few years and in that time two things become glaringly clear to me. First, is that his love for his family was most important and he wouldn't put anything before his wife and daughter. I admired him for this. Second, is that Bill was extremely passionate. It wasnt enough just to care. If it mattered to him, it was worth running to the ends of the earth to in some way make it better. He certainly did that. Those fortunate to have known him, were all undoubtedly blessed by his gifts and will forever be better people as a result. Our heartfelt love and condolences go out to his family and I hope that the lasting memories of great times with him enable you to find peace in his passing. Hannah- Your dad loved you more than anything. It was clear as day in everything that he did.
