Bobby Garrison, beloved husband of Marie Garrison for 38 years. Loving father of James Garrison and Barbara Garrison, grandfather of Landyn and Harper, brother of Connie (Neil) Tunison and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bob graduated Sycamore High School in 1970, where he acquired three lifelong friends. He went on to University of Cincinnati to achieve a bachelor’s degree. After college, Bob went on to become a police officer and retired after 20 years of service. He was the very first FOP Lodge186 President for Union/West Chester Township.

Was well-known for being a great storyteller and was well versed in military history. He enjoyed relaxing and reading a book or fishing when he had some free time.

Most importantly, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Bob passed away on June 6, 2021 at the age of 68. A visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 2 PM at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd. (Rt 42), West Chester, OH 45069 until the time of service at 4 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Cincinnati Blue Line Foundation or National Police Dog foundation.

Marie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was my roommate in college for a little more than a year. He was the best man at my wedding, which many others can also say - just shows what a great friend he was to many. Of course, you already know that. I am sorry I did not get a chance to meet you and reconnect with Bob. I had the chance and blew it. I thought of him often over the years. Sorry he had to leave us so soon.

A poem by Ogden Nash in remembrance of my dear friend of 53 years - Bob Garrison. Old Men People expect old men to die, They do not really mourn old men. Old men are different. People look at them with eyes that wonder when... People watch with unshocked eyes..... But the old men know when an old man dies.

Bob was a wonderful person. He was a joy to talk with about military history and policing. Great dispatcher, mentor, and friend. "Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day. Unseen and unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear."
