Elizabeth "Betty" J. Deaton

DEATON, Elizabeth (Betty) Josephine (nee Cox) Age 72 of Mason, Ohio, passed away suddenly on August 23, 2012. Betty was born on November 8, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Betty graduated from Lockland High School in Lockland, Ohio, and was the beloved wife of Eddie Deaton who preceded her in death in 1972. Betty was a retiree from General Electric, Evendale after 45 years of service. Betty is survived by her 3 children: Jeffrey Deaton (wife Pat Schroeder), Dianna Blasky (husband David), and Lisa Cox (husband Joe); 6 grandchildren: Chris Gabbard, Ben Thompson (wife Lindsay), Nick (wife Tracey) Sundin, Sharleen Sundin (Tommy), and Lindsey Presley (husband Matthew); 5 great-grandchildren: Trey, Elissa, Lucas, Layla, and Dillon; 2 brothers: William (wife Judy) Cox and Roger Cox (wife Carol); and 1 sister Mary (nee Cox, husband Lloyd) Pope; and her 19 nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Deaton, grandson Schon Gabbard; parents Ollie James and Geneva Cox; her brothers: James (wife Diane deceased), Jerry (wife Louise), and Richard (wife Zetta) Cox. Funeral arrangements will be at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Road, West Chester, Ohio (phone 513-777-8433) on 08/27/12 from 11am –1pm followed by burial at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Healthy.
