REMLER Harry Earl, age 89, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on Aug. 31, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Gauche) Remler for 58 years; devoted father of Elaine Klapproth, Carol Martin, and Bob Remler; loving grandfather of Kristen Fitzsimmons, Melissa Costello, Daniel Martin, Jonathan Martin, Elizabeth Remler, and Carl Remler; and caring father-in-law of James Klapproth, Ted Martin, and Anne (Beckman) Remler. In WW II he was a master sergeant in the 491st Port Battalion. He retired from the Drackett Co., a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb, as director of new product research and development in 1983. His research led to patents on behalf of Schenley Labs, Inc. involving penicillin and on behalf of the Drackett Co. involving household products. He was committee chairman of Boy Scout Troop 501 from 1973-1976. Visitation will be on Sat. Sept. 11 from 9-10 a.m. in St. Gertrude Madeira Parish Center followed by a memorial mass in St. Gertrude Church at 10 a.m. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Cincinnati; Dan Beard Council, BSA; or a charity of choice.
