Thank you to all of you who have shared in our joys and tears via email, guest book or in person.
The Celebration of his Life was wonderful and uplifting.
We are so very blessed to have so many of you share your memories with us. He gifted us with 77 years of everything he was.
We look forward to hearing from you as time goes on.
Our love and blessings!
Herbie’s Girls; Faith, Natalie, Kathy, & Carla
Carla and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. If you need anything when you get back to Milwaukee, Carla, just give me a call.
Dear Faith and family,
We rejoice in Herb’s victory!!
You and Herb added so much to the spirit of God at St. John, Rochester. I informed our new choir director that you folks donated the zimbalstern, and he said he will play it even more this Sunday!
Faith, you designed our sons’ birth announcements, and we thank you again. Andrew is 36 and married; Paul is 34 and single.
May the warm hug of Jesus Christ carry you through these difficult days ahead, knowing His promises are true: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Peace and love,
Marilyn and Roger
Even though we didn’t have the opportunity to see Herb often, I feel like I know him well through Carla. The memories I do have are of a smiling, kind, very generous man. He will live on through all of you.
Mike and I are thinking of all of you and praying God will give you strength and peace.
Dear Faith and Family:
Herb lived with the expectancy of Eternal Life; he is finally home . . . in his Father’s House! We praise God for the many years he faithfully served his church in music,
Care Giver Ministry, Stephens Ministry and especially thank the Lord for the love, care and respect he exhibited as a faithful husband and a faithful father. We pray God’s blessing and spirit among your family to see you through this most serious time and can’t help but share some hymn verses of comfort of a most appropriate hymn written by Herb brokering,LSB 879 . .stanzas 2 & 3
“Walk with us, our spirits sigh: Hear when our weary spirits cry.
Feel again our loss, our pain: Jesus, Take us to Your side.”
“Walk with us, the road will bend: Make all our weeping, wailing end.
Wipe our tears< Forgive our fears: Jesus, lift the heavy cross.”
God love and keep you in His care
With much sympathy and love
Walt & Karen Gresens
We will miss seeing Herbie with the Reder clan. We have always enjoyed all the time spent at games, dinners and over at Dave & Nat’d house just talking. Our prayers our with your family at this time as we know it will be hard without him. Love to all of you! Tom, Gigi and family!
My condolences to you Carla, and your family.
Dearest Natalie, Dave, Brandon Bridget and Mrs. Ebert…
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you!
We pray you feel the comfort of God’s Word during this time. Know that although we are not there with you, we are with you in prayer.
We love you…
We will miss our dear “Herbie” so much. We know he is in heaven and smiling down on us.
Dear Faith and family: Sam and I send our deep sympathy and are sorry we cannot be with you this Sunday. I am so glad I had the chance to spend special time with Herb at our recent family reunion. We will be thinking of you. Much Love, Kathy
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We know how much he will be missed. God Bless you all.
Dear Ebert Family – my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
We miss our Dad and Grandpa but as we has so often been taught by Herbie and shared by friends to us:
This is only the Beginning!
We look forward to seeing him again.
All our love to those who have loved us for so many years…..
D, N, B, B,
Condolences from Alex, Yanitzia and me. I think right away of a verse from Pop Schneider’s memorial hymn,”But then there breaks a yet more glorious day..The saints triumphant rise in bright array.” Take heart.
In my memories you two were always young, vivacious, shining souls…and I loved hearing the story (if I have it right and am not spilling any beans) of the two of you racing from different directions to meet @ the ‘rendezvous’ point of the Kankakee Parsonage. Next to my Mom’s story of Dad surprising her @ Nursing school in St. Louis when coming home from the War it was truly the MOST romantic.
God’s Grace embrace and sustain you and family.
Dear Kathy, David, and Joshua,
We send our love and prayers across the miles to be with you during the difficult days ahead. May God’s comfort, peace, and strength surround you all.
Caleb and Courtney
God bless, keep and comfort you all. We are so thankful for Herb’s life, legacy and witness of his Savior Jesus.
Peace to you in Christ,
Jill Hoegemeyer Hall
Dad now lives in heaven and is singing in the choir, playing the piano or organ, and having a wodnerful reunion with those already in heaven. We love and miss you Dad!!!!
