James Arthur Jones

James Arthur Jones passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2012, at the age of 82. He was the devoted husband of Barbara M. Jones for 55 years. Beloved father to his two daughters, Kelly (Mark) George and Jill (Mark) Brabant and loving grandfather of Eric, Evan, Emily George and Dylan Brabant. He is survived by three sisters, Jeanne (the late John ) Britton, Ellen Jones and Margaret (Ed) Kengersky. He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec on March 16, 1930. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and graduated from Penn State University. Art was a long time resident of Endicott, New York. He retired from IBM, Owego after 33 years of service and was an active member of St. Ambrose Church. He loved golfing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18th, at the Chesterwood Village Chapel at 11:00 am.
