So many wonderful memories of Sunday afternoon visits at Uncle Johns and Aunt Margaret's home. Clara and Joann would save me trial makeup and old jewelry, My father, Jim Sheridan (Aunt Margert's brother) would always tell them I was not old enough for such. What fun and precious times. We also looked for her loving Christmas card and note. Rest in Peace. Mary Ellen Sheridan Lee, Garner, NC

My Auntie Joann made holiday visits a highlight of the year. The best toys of the day were in her basement - Rock em sock em robots, labyrinth, slinky, skittles. And then there was the sting of a baseball thrown by cousin John, or Uncle Jack, the feast on the table, the dessert and game of Michigan afterwards, the patter of girl-talk in the kitchen as Joann, Claire, Melanie, and Lo hand washed all the pots and dishes. Joann always wished us well with cards at Christmas and birthdays. She was gentle and kind to the core. Our modern lifestyles carried us all too far away from each other. I know she is at peace with Our Lord today, and she is continuing in prayer for all of us.
