John was a student in my English class at LCCC. He was a gracious, courteous, and bright addition to our group, and he will be missed by his class peers. I send my sincere condolences to his wife, family, and loved ones at losing this fine young man.

Amber Schuerman - Sep 21, 2009

I hope that I am not sending this in too late. I served with John in Iraq, he was one of the few that accepted me into the company seeing I was a female. He was a great soldier and a good friend, he would have done anything for a person in need. I wish that I could have been at the services and give my respects to him and his family, I did not find out about this till the 19th while I was at drill. He will forever be remembered and always have a place in our hearts.
