Please accept my condolences and prayers for you and your family at this time of loss. My prayers are with you. John was such a wonderful human being who did not know how to say no to veterans and their causes. He was very proud of his service to his country and it reflected so in everything he did or said. He will be missed greatly!

Dee, I send my deepest condolences on the loss of your dear John. I knew John way back many years ago in Cincinnati, when I used to belong to the VVA Chaptrer 10. May God give you comfort in this time of sorrow and assure you that John is now with God and at peace.

I would like to thank you for sharing your husband and father with all of us at The Purple Heart. John was the most gracious and honorable man I think I have ever met, he always made you feel as though you were the most important person in the room. For his friendship I am so thankful, he will be greatly missed and a part of our hearts go with him.

Dear Dee, Kim, and Shannon-
Your John came into my life at age 11 (little league in Fresno). We were friends and teammates through WUHS. John was my hero. Thankfully, I told him so a few years back. And not for all that he did–which is enormous, but for his hero’s soul. He is one of God’s own. My love and prayers are with you during the grief of the loss of one who cannot be replaced. You shared a rare gift. Clarence Page wrote me about John: ‘He is one of the most heroic, kind-hearted, interesting, and intelligent individuals I have ever known” No wonder God wanted him back. Peace and all good.
