Judith Gayle Fowler

FOWLER, Judith Gayle (nee Holcomb), daughter of the late Glass A. and Helen M. (Short) Holcomb, devoted wife of the late Wendell Fowler, loving mother to Darrell Fowler, Doronna Lanham, Dianne Fowler Brown (Gary), and Dawn Fowler Packer (Dennis). Also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Loving sister to Joan Wilson, Elizabeth Warner and late sisters Mayme Horton, Sylvia Taylor, and Jan Smith. Cherished by many nieces, nephews and close personal friends. Passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside, Monday, March 19, 2012 age 71. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Nora Moreira, who provided dedicated, compassionate care to their mother for many years. She leaves a legacy of having touched many people’s lives with simple acts of kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. She will be missed beyond measure by her family, friends and many others. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Sunday, March 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and at Elmwood Carthage Presbyterian Church, 6317 Highland Ave., Monday from 11 am until funeral service at 12 noon.
