Judy Resides (nee Lloyd) was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, friend and teacher. She was born to Herbert and Emma Lloyd on July 27, 1952.

She traveled the world and then continued to seek adventure and service by joining the Navy. There she met her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Resides. They married on March 2, 1985. They had two children Rachel (Chris) Pansing and Ryan (Katherine) Resides. She was dear grandmom to Aidan, Riley, Owen, Emma, and Griffin. Judy is also survived by her brothers, Henry (Debra) Lloyd, Tim (Honey) Lloyd, Marcus Lloyd and sisters Sharon (the late Bob) Sullivan, Valerie (Greg) Wittkorn and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Norfolk State University in Elementary Education and Master’s degree in Reading from Xavier University. She loved sharing her passion for reading and learning with students in Princeton City Schools.

Judy loved to spend time with her grandkids. She loved reading with them, making crafts with them and joining them on adventures. Judy loved baking and sharing her treats with others. She was also an artist; she enjoyed painting, embroidering, sewing and quilting. She was a woman of faith and encouraged people to read the Bible and pray. Many animals were adopted and fostered during her life much to the joy of her family.

Judy was an excellent teacher, full of compassion, especially for struggling students who may have had academic and mental health concerns. She was a cheerleader for all of her students, and was a good team player. My condolences to her family, and her grandchildren whom she talked about . May your memories bring you peace and know an Angel is among you.

Judy was my cousin our Birthdays were close together and we played together as little girls. She was 1 year younger than me. We always stayed in contact. I have prayed and prayed for her healing. She is healed now in Heaven. I have loved her all these years and I will see her again in Heaven one day. She loved her family and didn't want to leave them but she loved Jesus that is for sure!!!
