Karen Marie Ficker, 63, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2021.

Karen was born on March 1, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to John Kuhl and Marie Kuhl (Feldkamp).

She was a graduate of Colerain High School (Class of 1976).

She happily married her soulmate, Paul J Ficker, on April 17, 1982.

Karen and Paul remained happily married for 39 years, welcoming 3 children along the way; Ashley M Wellendorf, Matthew P Ficker, and Stephen J Ficker.

Karen is preceded in death by her father John, mother Marie, and father-in-law Warren Ficker.

She is survived by her husband Paul Ficker, daughter Ashley (Brad) Wellendorf, and sons Matthew and Stephen Ficker; her four grandchildren Elijah Ficker, Grayson Ficker, Rose Wellendorf, and Alice Wellendorf; her sister Kathy (Bob) Lawson and brother John (Teresa) Kuhl; mother-in-law Mary Lou Ficker; sister-in-Law Lynn (Jim) Barger and brother-in-law Kurt (Diane) Ficker, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Karen was an adoring wife, loving mother, and devoted grandmother. She had a smile and laugh that could light up a room and will be forever loved and missed.

Visitation to be held Friday April 23, 2021 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH, 45224.

Mass will be held 1:00pm Friday April 23, 2021 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 5222 North Bend Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45247, with burial following at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Masks and social distancing is required for both visitation and Mass.

Celebration of life/Reception will follow at Karen’s Family Home, 3549 Centurion Drive, Cincinnati, OH, 45211.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn St. #1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
