What a shock, to lose Kathy so soon! She will be missed so very much, especially at the Y, where I worked with her at the front desk. I learned so much from her professionalism and her warmth. She was a very special friend…a ray of sunshine and a firecracker all in one package! My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this very difficult time.
I’ve known her as the friendly lady at the Y. She was so caring and fun to see there. I always enjoyed talking to her. We are a few bus drivers who go to the Y, and she was always taking an interest in our craziness and life on the bus. I will really miss her. I am so sad to hear she is gone. My condolences, Julie Moore
Kathy was a kind, sweet lady, and will be greatly missed at the YMCA. I had the pleasure of working with her during the day over the past couple years. She always had a smile on her face, and she always made the atmosphere more pleasant. I will miss seeing her face at the Y and hearing all of the great stories she shared with me about her children and grandchildren.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Kathy’s family- both you and Kathy are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. Sincerely, Abby Wittman
I am a member of the YMCA where Kathy worked and she really was such a friendly face to greet us. She was so easy to talk to and always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed.
Lisa,Bobby and Tracey, my deepest condolences. Your mother was a treasure and I loved her greatly. May she sleep now in peace with your father and the angels. God Bless all of you and be assured of my continued prayers. God Bless. Karen
To the many family members and friends of Kathy, please accept my sincere condolences. Although it is many years since I have seen Kathy, I remember her fondly and have shared e-mails in recent years which helped to keep us in contact.
Kathy will sorely be missed by all at the Lakota Family YMCA! I’ve never met anyone like Kathy who could easily strike up a conversation with the members the way she did. She always welcomed them and made them feel right at home. Kathy had the gift of knowing if something was wrong. She had away about her that pulled things out of you. And the advice she gave was always from the heart! WE MISS YOU KATHY, BUT KNOW YOU’RE RIGHT NEXT TO BOB SMILING… LOVE YA!
To Kathy’s family
I worked with Kathy for over 7 years at the Y. She was always full of life and we called her our Y “Diva”. I will miss her terribly as you will but please know how much I cared about your mom. She was a great lady and always made me laugh and feel good. Know that her and you are in my thoughts and prayers. The YMCA will not ever be the same without Kathy at the front desk.
