LORAINE C. BROWN (nee Fricke) Age 91, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. Beloved mother of Judy (Bob) Murphy of Centerville, OH & Joyce (Don) Dunham of Mason, OH, loving grandmother of Todd (Kathy) Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Tracy Fittz of Centerville, Torey (Greg) Roemer of Centerville, Amy (Chris) Strand of Grand Rapids, MI, Alyssa (Bob) Schmeling of Cincinnati, dear great grandmother of Caroline & Emmy Murphy, Owen Fittz, Aiden & Elliot Schmeling, Meg & Abby Strand, and aunt of Bonnie Purcell, Ginny Friedrichs, Elaine Stattman, Pam Marksity, Pep Strifler, Ray Fricke, and Jeff Rowe and sister-in-law of Helen Strifler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie & Harry Fricke, dear husband H. Russell (Russ) Brown, sisters Helen Friedrichs and Lucille Rowe, brother Howard Fricke and niece Cathie Reif. Loraine was born on June 16, 1920, and raised in “Wooden Shoe Hollow” in Cincinnati. She graduated from Hughes High School, class of 1938. She worked throughout much of her life as an Executive Secretary. After her marriage to Russ, she lived for over 60 years in Madeira, OH. Loraine has resided at Mason Christian Village for the past 15 years & was a member of the Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Her favorite times in life involved being with her family. Burial will be a private service at the convenience of the family at Rest Haven Cemetery in Blue Ash, OH. A memorial service celebrating her loving life will be held at Sycamore Presbyterian Church 11800 Mason Road, 45249 on Monday, Jan. 23, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held before the service, beginning at 9:30 on Monday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
