Leave a message of condolence

Mark O. Hupp, son of the late Leroy and Irene (Jordan) Hupp passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 48. By day Mark made a living as a project manager/estimator with Ben Hur Construction; a trade that he took pride in for more than 17 years. In total, Mark spent more than 25 years in the construction field. By night, Mark made his living as a loving husband, nurturing father, proud grandfather, loyal brother and devoted friend. A loving husband of 27 years, Mark spent these years developing a bond with his wife Jody. Together they enjoyed the thrills of motorcycle riding, the adventures of life, the joy of raising a family and the comfort of taking each new day hand-in-hand. As a father, Mark raised two loving children and committed his years to unending love, support and guidance. With an infinite knowledge for tackling the unknown, Mark welcomed the unexpected and shared his wisdom in the trials of any project or puzzle his children could toss his way. Mark is survived by wife, Jody (Cox), children, Samantha (Kevin) Johnson and Ryan (Amy Henderson) Hupp, grandson, Jacob Hupp, sister, Helen Platt, brother, Brian (Stephanie) Hupp, mother and father-in law, Tom and Sharon Cox, and sister in-laws, Tammy (Mike) Fordyce, Kim (Kurt) Wietasch and Jamie (Dave) Horner. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd, West Chester, OH from 3-7pm with a memorial service to immediately follow. Visitation will also be held at William G. Neal Funeral Home, East Maiden St. Washington, PA on Friday, June 5th from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 10am. Jody and family,

So sorry to hear about Mark. I just returned from a two week vacation and Brett had emailed me the information. I know a little about what you are going through. Wade thought a lot of Mark and Wade was the same age. The days ahead will be very difficult and lonely – I’m sure your family and friends will be a wonderful support to you. I’m praying for you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Mark on many an estimate and on the Rawlings project in Louisville. He was always talking about his family, especially Jacob, and always asked about my family. I will miss him greatly, but when I think of him I will smile. Mark was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with in my 20 years of the construction industry.

Jody, Samantha, & Ryan. Our heart felt sympathy. Our prayers and love go out to all of you. The shock of what has happened is still so prevelant it is difficult to put what we feel into words. Just remembering how active Mark was, never sitting still, having his hands into everything makes this so much harder to comprehend.
In the days to come may GOD bring you peace, rest, understanding, and love. Bill and Jo Anne Miller

To Jody, Samantha, Kevin, and Ryan we send our condolences. Though we knew Mark for a brief time, we always felt like he was our friend forever. He always greeted us with his smile and a firm handshake. Family was his life. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers. I will always remember him bidding Sam up on that hutch from the silent auction.
