September 12, 1960 - June 20, 2022
Mike Muster, age 61, of Mason, OH, and formerly of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2022. He was the beloved son of the late George Muster and survived by his loving mother Mary Muster , brother to the late Debbie, and survived by his sisters Sue, Lisa and Pam, and much loved husband of Sherri Muster and her children Chris, Joel, Bekah , Karisa and Lindsay. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend and best buddy to his dog Max. Mike lived out his faith in a quiet steady way helping others, never looking to be recognized for things he did. Our lives will never be the same without him.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Christ's Church, 5165 Western Row Rd, Mason, OH 45040, from 10 A.M. until the time of funeral service at 11 A.M.
Internment will take place Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Michael to ALS Association of Central and Southern Ohio, Via their website, under the donate tab.http://webcsoh.alsa.org/site/PageServer?pagename=CSOH_homepage

I have been torn up about this since hearing of Mike's passing earlier this week. Part of it is because of the memories - I have a photo of Mike finishing off one of those many beers and burgers that Les mentioned earlier. But part of it is knowing that Mike lived less than twenty minutes away for years and that we never took advantage of that to get together. Life gets in the way. When my wife met him at our reunion, she immediately commented on how kind he seemed. It was something we all knew for years, but that it could be recognized in a mere moment by someone who'd never met him is testament to who Mike was to his core. I will always mile at the memories of spring break trips and five man water ski pyramids (there's a photo of that effort, too), but I will also lament the memories that might have been but will never be. I will carry that revelation as Mike's lasting torch.

To Mike’s Family – I was shocked and saddened to her the news about Mike. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Mike was a friend and great teammate in high school and I am one of the hundreds that Les Thomas mentioned. Les basically said it all – even though we may have lost contact through the years he was always on our mind and he will definitely be missed. His friend Wando

I don't have a single teenage or early adult memory that doesn't include Mike in it. He was the best friend a guy could have. He was funny, loyal and always up for a good time. Whether spending time in our basement watching Michigan football with my family (yes, I know he's a Spartan) or hanging with Lance and the guys, it was always a laugh riot. Daytona Beach Spring Break where he ate what must have been 25 hamburgers and drank 20 beers. Going on his MSU recruiting visit and then watching him on the Darryl Rogers TV show starring as a Freshman - no surprise to those of us who knew him - he was simply the most naturally gifted athlete I have ever known.. Sorry the years passed so quickly with so little contact but we will meet again one day. Rest in Peace, my friend and say hi to my Mom and Dad for me - Mom will sell you some football squares for $2 each.

To The Entire Muster Family: There are hundreds of us here in Michigan and beyond who are devastated by the news of Mike's sudden passing. Please know that we are all with you as you celebrate his incredible life and know that we will never forget him. While much time has passed without contact, Mike has always been on our minds and now he is in our hearts forever. We have shared so many fond (and hilarious) memories with him that are too numerous to mention and certainly not suitable for public consumption. Besides being the most gifted natural athlete who accomplished so much on the field it was off the field that distinguished him as a kind and gentle giant. He loved a good laugh especially if it was at his own expense. To Mike: We will miss you dear friend and so look forward to seeing you someday in Paradise. Mike's Friends From Ike
