Schlusser-Sabline, Oleg, visitation Saturday at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill Saturday from 11 until service at 12 noon
Oleg Sabline was a true master teacher who has left is mark on the dance world. He has trained generations of dancers who have spread his expertise throughout the world. His classes were always interesting and challenging; his choreography a beautiful evocation of classical style. He will be missed.
I owe so much of what I learned about ballet and life to Mr. Sabline. He was one of my early teachers before the Conservatory moved to UC. He was a rare gem of a teacher who pushed but was not mean but firm. All my love to his family during this time.
Oleg will be missed by us all. The Performing Arts in Dance exisits in our area because of Oleg’s dedication and love for dance. What an incredible dancer and teacher he was…. and later in life …..my mentor and dear friend.
Mr. Sabline was by far one of the greatest influences of my life. He knew how to treat each dancer as an individual bringing out their best qualities. He had the most beautiful spirit and will be remembered forever!
Oleg was such a wonderful friend and mentor to me. He and Linda were so kind to my husband and I when we moved to Cincinnati and started teaching for the university. Sasha, your parents affected the lives of so many dancers. Just google your dad and you will see how many dancers list him in their bios. He is responsible in so many ways for the quality of ballet in this city and beyond. He will be missed. My husband and I will be praying for you and your family.
