Condolences

Mark Murphy - Apr 17, 2009

Our sincere condolences for your loss. We will always remember Uncle Lank w/ such fond memories; he was such a sweet and kind man w/ just the right touch of humor. Time marches on, and it’s especially sad to see him go, the last of the Williams brothers and sisters. Those wonderful 1960’s family reunions of my childhood, out on Calvary Ridge w/ a seemingly endless number of cousins. Hugs to all from a distance …

Amy Murphy-Spencer - Apr 16, 2009

Uncle Lank was, hands down, my favorite great uncle! He had such love, humor, and wit going on in his life. I fondly remember coming to visit when I was young, and I always attribute Aunt Lorene with getting me interested in playing the piano. The last several years have been difficult for you all, and in my opinion, the 3 of you “boys” are true saints for the level of care and love you gave your father. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I love you all.

Ron & Roberta Bond - Apr 16, 2009

Ron & I will miss Oscar beyond words. I have missed seeing all of you during church services & getting my special kiss on the check. He was a great man & I truly enjoyed having him in our lives. What a joy he must have been, because of the short time we were around…he never treated us like strangers. Oscar I know that heaven is happy that they got one of their angels home. He was a blessing in my life & I pray that you guys know you have a place at NBC & we’ll leave the doors open for you.

You are in our thoughts & prayers. May God watch over all of you during this tough time, but know your dad was extremely special to our family.

In God’s loving Arms,
The Bonds

It’s always sad to lose a friend and especially a family member. Losing UNCLE Oscar(aka;Lank) is especially hard for me. He is the last of my father’s siblings. He always paid attention to us kids. Poking, pinching, joking. He made it easy to like(love)him. He will be seriously MISSED. My family and I will keep his entire family in our thoughts and PRAYERS.
Nephew,
Ray L. Williams
