Rick Tabb

June 8, 1956 — May 28, 2021

Richard “Rick” A. Tabb, son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Tabb, loving brother of Dave (Donna) Tabb, Sherry (Patty) Seta-Tabb, and Tim Tabb, uncle to Chris Tabb and great uncle to Gwen and Gavin Tabb. Longtime friend of the family, Mary Farley.

Rick was a gentle soul with a heart of gold, albeit with a strong stubborn streak.  He loved going to car shows with his 2 brothers, Dave and Tim and sister-in-law, Donna and friend of the family, Mary.  He attended every tennis match and softball game he could to cheer his sister, Sherry, on and provide liquid refreshments.  He loved his ‘softball girls’ that played alongside his sister.  You would catch him good naturedly teasing and being teased by some of them.  He also enjoyed playing golf with his sister and sister-in-law, Patty, when he was physically able.

Hanging out at Bond Hill Café and chatting with grade school and old neighborhood friends brought him joy, especially when he was betting (and winning) the football pools.  He also loved to go to festivals with his mom and bet on anything he could while enjoying all the food.

His health began to fail in 2017 and forced him to go on disability and move into an assisted living facility.  Early this year he had to be transferred onto the skilled nursing area where he remained until his passing.  Rick was an organ donor, and his thoughtful donations will help others see and walk. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but they are comforted knowing that he is now rejoined with his beloved mother and father along with all his other relatives and friends who have preceded him in death.

A visitation will be held June 9, 2021 at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040 from10 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Hospice of Cincinnati.
