William "Bill" L. Fitzpatric Jr.

William "Bill" L. Fitzpatric Jr., 76, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Fitzpatric Sr. and Verna (Disselkamp), and his brother Michael (Mary Ellen) Fitzpatric. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Stratmann), daughter Colleen Doty (Craig), son William "Bill" L. Fitzpatric III (Michele), and daughter Meghan Hibbard (Jon), his beloved grandchildren Ian, Emma, Aidan, Maggie, Lauren, Bill, Andrew, Braden, and Liam, and his siblings, Judy, Charles, Richard, and Dennis.
Bill was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he graduated in the first graduating class of Moeller High school in 1964. After high school Bill attended Ohio University until he chose to serve his country and enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. He completed two tours in Vietnam, advancing to the rank of Sergeant. During his time in Vietnam he exchanged letters with Linda, whom he would later ask to be his wife.
After returning from his service, Bill completed his bachelor's degree at University of Cincinnati as a triple major while working in the accounting department at Kings Island Amusement Park. Bill continued in accounting and served as CFO with Samuels Products until his retirement. His greatest accomplishment was raising his kids and he took tremendous pride in his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of family, work ethic, blue jeans and plaid shirt. He loved fishing on Lake Erie with his family, drinking beer, watching the Antique Roadshow and Food Network, and binge watching Disney movies with his grandkids.
He will be missed but never forgotten. Services will be held as follows on Saturday January 15, 2022. Visitation 9am-1030am At Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45216. Funeral services will be held at Saint James of the Valley Catholic Church 411 Springfield Pike Wyoming , Ohio 45215
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Moeller High School Band as well as DAV Disabled American Veterans
