Watkins and Depes Family, I am very sorry to learn that Mrs. Zoie(nee Depes) Watkins, beloved Wife, of Retired CPD Detective Charlie Watkins passed away. Zoie was suffering from of Alzheimer’s Disease. I stopped to visit Zoie and Charlie recently. We had a very nice visit and I found Zoie to be as gracious and beautiful as ever. She remembered me and was very appreciative of the visit, I am very happy to have taken the time to visit, in my humble opinion we all should take the opportunity to visit our ill friends. Sometime the little things in life leave the biggest impact on people. Zoie and Charlie were married for 64 years. During this past year of Zoie’s illness, Charlie continued to be a loving and very devoted husband and caregiver for his “Best Friend”, he never forgot their Marriage Vows. I knew their Daughters, Karen and Peggy and they are wonderful people and very dedicated to their love ones. Karen’s Daughter, Laura, suffers from Spina Bifida since a child and needed extra special care from her entire family who is always there for her. Karen also lost her Husband, Tom, at a young age due to illness. Zoie Watkins was a wonderful Wife, Mother of three, Grandma of eight, Great Grandma to eleven, Sister, Sister in Law and Friend to many. Please accept my Personal Condolences, for this Very Special Human Being. May Zoie Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Joe Hall Ret. CPD Police Museum Volunteer www.gcphs.com

Dear Watkins Family
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Please try to keep in mind God’s promises: Rev. 21:4 says God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. When God’s will is done on earth people will not get sick or die. The deceased in God’s memory will have the opportunity to live forever, for the Bible promises; “There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts24:15) Jesus Christ willingly and lovingly died so we can gain endless life. We will see our loved ones again.
